Lynn Domenico, principal of St. Lawrence School in Lindenwold, was one of 12 teachers from throughout the United States who received the 2007 Distinguished Principal Award at the National Catholic Educational Association in Baltimore, held April 10-13.
This award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership in Catholic elementary education to a principal who witnesses the Catholic Faith and promotes the quality of the schools educational endeavors.
Domenico has been principal at St. Lawrence Regional School for eight years. During this time she has implemented many innovative ideas in the school, among them the NASA Research and Training Center and the United Nations program. In giving the award, the NCEA Department of Elementary Schools acknowledges that in honoring 12 teachers each year, it also honors the tens of thousands of teachers in all Catholic elementary schools. NCEA is the largest private professional education organization in the world, representing 200,000 Catholic educators serving 7.6 million students in Catholic elementary and secondary schools, in religious education programs, in seminaries and in colleges and universities.
