The 2026 Diocese of Camden Rice Bowl is underway! The theme is “Who is Ready to Change Lives this Lent?” A Local Grant Application is available for submission from Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, through Thursday, April 2, 2026. Funds are from the 2026 CRS Collections, March 15, 2026 (See video below), and Rice Bowl donations submitted by schools, parishes, and households.Amount of Grant Request limited to $3,000.00.
Did you know? Twenty-five percent of funds collected each Lent through Catholic Relief Services’ Rice Bowl global nutrition program stay in our diocese for local hunger alleviation.
If you are involved in a ministry in your Catholic parish or school that is taking steps to fight hunger locally, apply for a Rice Bowl Grant. Types of ministries that should apply include food pantries, soup kitchens, community gardens, meal programs that feed the hungry, and other compassionate outreach ministries with nutritional components.
