At the Mass, the St. Luke Award will be presented to healthcare professionals in the diocese who exemplify Catholic values. This year the award recipients are:

The “White Mass” is traditionally celebrated in late October around the feast of St. Luke, observed on October 18. St. Luke, the inspired author of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles, was a physician.
In addition, guest speaker, Dr. John Bertagnolli, D.O., Hammonton Family Medicine, will speak to attendees about his experiences traveling each summer to Kingston, Jamaica with medical students and medical residents to work with the Brothers of the Missionaries of Charity to provide medical care to the poor.
