Catholic Partnership Schools appoints Julio Fuentes to its Board of Directors. Mr. Fuentes is President & CEO for Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options (CREO). Hispanic CREO, located in Lake Worth, Florida, is charged with creating awareness of the educational crisis that exists within the Hispanic community nationally by empowering Hispanic parents to become advocates for their children.
Fuentes provides leadership to Hispanic CREO and is also President of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Fuentes’ appointment will help bring a national awareness to Catholic Partnership Schools and its innovative model for urban Catholic education.
A resident of Wellington, Florida, Fuentes actively serves on several education and youth-serving organizations and committees. Currently, Feuntes serves on the Step Up for Students’ Governance Board, the Board of Directors for Florida Kidcare, appointed by Former Gov. Charlie Crist as the Commissioner for A Blueprint for Juvenile Justice Reform, served on Gov. Rick Scott’s Education Transition Team, and appointed to Former Gov. Mitt Romney’s Education Policy Committee. Fuentes graduated from Iona College with a degree in Business Administration.
