Fourth Grade Teacher
St. Michael the Archangel Regional School – Clayton, NJ
St. Michael the Archangel Regional School is seeking a joyful and inspiring full-time 4th grade teacher who strives for academic excellence and has a desire to help our students develop their personal relationship with Jesus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to elementary school-aged students
- Create a joyful, academically challenging learning environment.
- Integrate Catholic faith and values into daily lessons and classroom activities
- Witness and model the Christian faith through daily interactions, actively sharing personal faith experiences and guiding students in developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love of learning, by developing relationships with students and using classroom management techniques that affirm the dignity of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success and contribute to the overall school community
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events, such as back to school night, parent conferences, open houses, and fundraisers
- Advise an extracurricular activity or club
Requirement and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- New Jersey teacher certification (Standard, CEAS, or CE), or out-of-state equivalent preferred.
- Pastor’s letter attesting to the candidate’s active practice of the Catholic faith.
- Completion of fingerprinting clearance and VIRTUS training.
- Commitment to promoting the Catholic mission and values of the school.
Salary and Benefits:
- $35,000-$44,000, based on experience and certification.
- Group health benefits.
- 10 paid sick days.
- 3 paid personal days.
