Part-Time Art Teacher (3 Days/Week)
We are seeking a creative, organized, and student-centered Part-Time Art Teacher to join our team. The teacher will deliver engaging art instruction for students, foster artistic exploration, and support a positive classroom environment three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver art lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and age-appropriate learning goals.
- Teach foundational art skills, techniques, and art vocabulary across assigned grade levels.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and abilities.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-organized classroom and studio space.
- Manage classroom materials, supplies, and clean-up procedures.
- Display student work and support school art shows or exhibitions as needed.
- Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, and school leadership about student progress and needs.
- Participate in staff meetings and relevant professional development on designated work days.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Familiarity with a range of media (drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, digital art preferred).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Salary
- Daily rate- $160 per day/3 days a week
