Through the Holy Doors

Before their school’s annual Junior Ring Mass later that night, 11th graders from Paul VI High School, Haddon Township went on pilgrimage to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden, entering the church’s Holy Doors and greeted by Bishop Dennis Sullivan.

After providing some background on the history of the diocese and the 150-year old church they were in, Bishop Sullivan PVI boys entering Cathedral Holy Doorsreminded the students of this current Jubilee Year of Mercy. In walking through the Holy Door, they passed “into God’s grace,” he said.

He urged them to “learn the works of mercy, and do mercy,” in the image of the Father, “giving your heart to others.”

In addition to the Cathedral, for a list of churches that Bishop Sullivan has designated as “Jubilee Churches” that feature a “holy door” visit: www.camdendiocese.org/jubilee-churches
