Part‑Time Classroom Aide — Lower Elementary (Grades K–2)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, patient classroom aide to support a lower elementary teacher and students for four hours each school day. The aide will assist with instructional activities, classroom routines, supervision, and creating a safe, welcoming learning environment. The aide will also be scheduled for school related duties (lunch, recess, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher with small-group and whole-class activities
- Provide supervision during transitions, recess, and lunch as assigned
- Reinforce classroom routines, behavior expectations, and positive behavior supports
- Assist individual students with classwork, reading, and basic skills practice
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the teacher
- Help maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming classroom space
- Follow school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive, student‑centered attitude
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
Salary- Minimum wage- $15.92 per hour
