Charter for the Protection of Children and Young PeopleCamden Diocese found fully compliant with Charter The Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People which was adopted by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in June 2002 directs all dioceses to establish “safe environment” programs. These programs are to provide education and training for children, youth and adults about ways to make and maintain a safe environment for children. The Charter also directs all dioceses to evaluate the backgrounds of all adults who have regular contact with minors.
