Michael Jordan Laskey is the Director of Life & Justice Ministries, Office of Lifelong Faith Formation, in the Diocese of Camden.
Laskey’s job is to raise awareness of important life and justice issues in the church and society with parish leaders and all Catholics in the Camden Diocese.
Laskey graduated in 2008 from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, with a bacheloer’s degree in English, and minors in theology and journalism. In 2010, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a master’s degree in theology, with a concentration in catechesis.
Most recently, he was program coordinator at the Center for FaithJustice in Lawrenceville, N.J., where he created and facilitated workshops on Catholic social teaching for professionals and students; and developed and presented diocesan regional workshops for professional ministers on passing on Catholic social teaching to young people.
Laskey served at the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville as part-time pastoral associate for high school youth ministry. While a graduate student, he was a participant of the ECHO program, a service and study program through the University of Notre Dame.
As Associate for Religious Education at St. Dominic Parish in Brookfield, Wis., Laskey created and led youth and adult faith formation courses and activities, including a weeklong adult immersion trip to Ecuador, and an adult “Faith and Film” series.
