The annual iRace4Vocations event, sponsored by the Diocese of Camden’s Office of Vocations, welcomes people of all ages in the 5k Run or 1.3 mile Family Fun Walk. Runners, walkers and spectators are encouraged to prayfor and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Last year more than 1,200 people participated in the free event.

According to the National Religious Vocations Conference, survey estimates suggest that as many as 350,000 never married men and 250,000 never married women have seriously considered becoming a priest, sister, or brother. Those of the millennial generation (born after 1982) are even more likely than the generation before them to consider a vocation.

As we gather on Sunday, April 17, we will pray and support all those who have consider a vocation to the priesthood or religious life, especially those in the South Jersey area.
