Founded in 1887, Camden Catholic High School is a college-preparatory institution rooted in faith,
excellence, and community. The Irish Athletic Department sponsors 20+ interscholastic sports, competing
in the Olympic Conference and the NJSIAA. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to
serve as Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director, supporting the health, safety, and holistic
development of student-athletes while contributing to the overall operations of the athletic program.

Position Summary:
This unique dual-role position blends athletic training responsibilities with athletic administration. The
successful candidate will serve as the school’s certified athletic trainer, providing comprehensive athletic
health care services to student-athletes, while also assisting the Athletic Director with daily operations,
event management, and long-term strategic initiatives. The Head Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic
Director will foster and promote Catholic values throughout the athletic program. The Head Athletic
Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director reports directly to the Athletic Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Athletic Trainer:
    o Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.
    o Maintain accurate medical records and injury reports in compliance with NJSIAA and school policies.
    o Coordinate with outside medical providers and families regarding student-athlete care.
    o Manage athletic training room operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and
    recovery modalities.
    o Implement emergency action plans for athletic events and practices.
    o Educate student-athletes and coaches on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and wellness.
  • Assistant Athletic Director
    o Assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, transportation, and communication related to athletic
    contests.
    o Support game-day operations, including set-up, supervision, and liaison with officials.
    o Oversee compliance with NJSIAA, Olympic Conference, and school policies.
    o Serve as a visible leader and role model, fostering a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.

    Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or President.

    Qualifications: (Education/Training and Experience Required)
  • Practicing Catholic
  • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New Jersey.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of athletic training or athletic administration experience preferred (high school or
    collegiate level)

    Head Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director is a 10-month Position.
    Salary range is $42,000-$52,000.
