1.6.06 Camden Diocese to Vest Monsignors

CAMDEN – (January 6, 2006) – Most Reverend Joseph A. Galante, D.D., J.C.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Camden, will hold a Liturgy of Vespers for nine monsignors on:

To be vested as Protonotaries Apostolic include: Reverend Msgr. Thomas Joseph Morgan, pastor at St. Thomas More Church, Cherry Hill; Reverend Msgr. Joseph William Pokusa, Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C.; and Reverend Msgr. James Richard Tracy, pastor at St. Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville.

To be vested as Prelates of Honor to His Holiness are: Reverend Msgr. Dominic John Bottino, pastor at St. Joseph Church, Hammonton and Reverend Msgr. John Harvey Burton, pastor at St. Isidore Church, Vineland.

To be vested as Chaplains to his Holiness are: Reverend Msgr. William Albert Hodge, pastor St. Nicholas Church, Atlantic City; Reverend Msgr. Peter Michael Joyce, Chancellor of the Diocese of Camden; Reverend Msgr. Roger Eugene McGrath, Vicar for Administration/Moderator of the Curia and Reverend Msgr. Michael Thomas Mannion, Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Monsignor is an honorary title conferred on some diocesan priests by the pope. It is not given to priests in religious orders.
