Director of Advancement
Full-Time Faculty Position
About Holy Angels Catholic School
Holy Angels Catholic School is a Pre-K to 8 parish school of the Diocese of Camden, located in
Woodbury, New Jersey, and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. We
are a Catholic school in the fullest sense: faithful to the teachings of the Church, sacramentally
formed by the life of our parish, and committed to the formation of the whole child in truth,
goodness, and beauty.
In recent years, the school has undertaken a renewal rooted in the Catholic liberal arts tradition. Our
curriculum, modeled on the work of the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education, recovers the
Church’s rich heritage in the formation of the whole person in the image of God. Students study
Latin, the great books, sacred art, and the natural world through dictation, recitation, narration, and
Socratic dialogue. Christ, the Logos, is at the center.
Our Mission
The mission of Holy Angels Catholic School is to support parents in their role as the primary
educators of their children. Our classical Catholic approach sparks each student’s natural desire for
wisdom and virtue. By fostering a love for truth, beauty, and goodness, we seek to form disciples of
Jesus Christ who realize their full potential through living joyfully in accordance with the truth
revealed by God through nature and the Catholic Church.
As a parish school, Holy Angels exists in covenantal relationship with the families it serves and the
benefactors who sustain it. Advancement is therefore not a marketing function. It is a stewardship
vocation: an invitation extended to faithful Catholics, alumni, parents, grandparents, and community
partners to participate in the formation of saints and scholars.
Position Overview
The Director of Advancement leads the strategy, execution, and culture of philanthropy and
enrollment at Holy Angels. The Director is responsible for the full advancement architecture: major
gifts, annual fund, planned giving, donor stewardship, signature events, parish Bingo, the PTO
partnership, enrollment and re-enrollment, grants, communications, and community partnerships:
and for building the people and systems that carry it out.
This is a senior leadership role. The Director works closely with the Principal, the Pastor of Holy
Angels Parish, the School Advisory Board, and lay leadership to set and meet the school’s
philanthropic goals. Above all, the Director must understand what Holy Angels is for. Advancement
is the discipline of inviting people into a mission worthy of their lives and their estates.
