Bishops of New Jersey have released a statement lifting the current dispensation from the obligation to participate in Mass

The Bishops of New Jersey have released a statement lifting the current dispensation from the obligation to participate in Mass on Sundays and Holy Days on Saturday evening, June 5th, the Vigil of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord.  Please circulate this information to your parishioners and families.

As noted in the statement – New Jersey still has a mandate requiring that masks be worn while inside.  While New Jersey still mandates social distancing at six feet, pastors are not expected to count or limit access to Mass on or after June 5th so that the faithful may indeed fulfill their obligation to participate at Mass.
