Bishop to Host a Student Press Conference

The Diocese of Camden will highlight Catholic Schools Week 2006 with a Student Press Conference with Most Reverend Joseph A. Galante, D.D., J.C.D., Bishop of Camden:

Bishop Galante will give a brief opening statement, after which he will field questions from students affiliated with newspapers and other publications at their Catholic schools in the Diocese of Camden. More than 200 students and teachers attended last year’s student press conference. Sister Paula Maria Randow, OSF, principal at St. Jude Regional School, offered to host the press conference in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week 2006. This year, Catholic Schools Week runs from January 29 through February 4.

The 2006 Catholic Schools Week slogan is “Catholic Schools: Character. Compassion. Values.”

The 2006 Catholic Schools Week is highlighted at schools in the six-county Diocese of Camden with various events each day that range from presentations of new technology resources as well as advanced learning programs to volunteer appreciation day. The Diocese of Camden is home to 53 elementary and 10 secondary schools in Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.
