Bishop to celebrate Mass August 9 to Welcome Largest Number of Seminarians since 2000

Most Reverend Dennis J. Sullivan, D.D., Bishop of Camden will celebrate Mass to accept nine new seminarians to the Diocese of Camden on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church, located at 318 Carl Hasselman Drive in Atco.
The nine men, ranging from 18 to 39 years of age, join the diocese’s current ten seminarians who come from various towns in Southern New Jersey representing Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, and Atlantic counties.
They are: Steven Bertonazzi, Jr. from Saint Padre Pio Parish, Vineland; Patrick H. Erdmann from Saint Peter’s Parish, Merchantville; Eric J. Goonan from Saint Peter’s Parish, Merchantville; Anthony M. Infanti from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Williamstown; John W. March from Saint Rose of Lima Parish, Haddon Heights; Anthony C. Mc Cullough from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Williamstown; Ryan R. Meehan from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Williamstown; Christopher J. Myers from Our Lady of Hope Parish, Blackwood; and Stephen G. Robbins from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Lindenwold.
In the fall, four of them will begin their studies at The College Seminary at Saint Andrew’s Hall at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey and five will attend Immaculate Conception Seminary also at Seton Hall University.
“We are very pleased to welcome the largest class of new seminarians for the diocese since the year 2000,” said Reverend Michael M. Romano, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Camden. This year, the diocese will have a total of nineteen seminarians in priestly formation.
