Pope Benedict XVI designated this year in honor of St. Paul. Since then, churches and dioceses throughout the world have offered special celebrations and programs in honor of the Pauline Year. In the Diocese of Camden, Bishop Galante has designated three churches as Pilgrimage Churches where special celebrations will be held, beginning with Vespers, (or evening prayer) at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden.
In addition, on January 25, the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul, Bishop Galante will celebrate Mass at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Turnersville and on June 28, on the Vigil of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, at the Church of Saint Paul in Stone Harbor.
All are welcome to join in the prayer service and Masses. Earlier this month, Bishop Galante announced that those who devoutly visit any one of these churches will gain a special Plenary Indulgence granted by the Holy Father in the Pauline Year.
