More than 1,000 people filled Washington Lake Park in Sewell for the 5th Annual iRace 4 Vocations and Outdoor Mass celebrated by Bishop Sullivan on Sunday, April 17, World Day of Pray for Vocations. Listen to Bishop’s homily:
iRace 4 Vocations, sponsored by the Diocese of Camden Office of Vocations, welcomes people of all ages to run/walk in our 5K to both pray for and promote vocations to the priesthood, religious life, sacred married life and sacred single life. The community unites in praying for our seminarians and for an increase in vocations for our diocese and throughout the Church.
Many people representing various parishes and schools throughout the diocese attended the outdoor Mass celebrated by Bishop Sullivan along with many priests, seminarians and the Knights of Columbus. Many of them went on to participate in the 5K run/1.3 mile walk following the Mass. After the race/walk the festivities continued with plenty of food and family entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Many sponsors were generous in supporting this event.
