Speak Up participants said we as Church need to reach out further and with greater sensitivity and compassion to: Alienated Catholics who are hurting, disappointed or angry and may no longer be worshipping with the faith community.
People who have been pushed to the margins of society by prejudice, ignorance, injustice, addictions, mental illness.
Poor people who lack the means, access, health, or support to improve their lives.
Immigrants who do not speak nor understand the English language, who have different cultural ways, and who challenge us to look at ourselves and how we extend hospitality to the stranger.
