Position Summary:
The Maintenance Worker at Camden Catholic High School supports the school’s mission of fostering
excellence in education, faith, and community by ensuring that our campus remains safe, clean, and fully
operational for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position is
responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general facilities support across the
school’s buildings and grounds. The Maintenance Worker contributes to a welcoming environment for
students, faculty, staff, and visitors by assisting with day-to-day facility operations, special events setup,
and routine maintenance projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and capable of addressing
a wide range of maintenance needs while upholding the mission and values of Camden Catholic High
School.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks including painting, minor plumbing, electrical repairs,
    carpentry, and general building upkeep.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down for school events, assemblies, liturgies, athletics, and
    extracurricular activities.
  • Support school events by setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of school facilities, grounds, and equipment to identify safety concerns or
    needed repairs.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, groundskeeping, and debris cleanup.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the President, Director of Facilities and other staff to ensure timely completion
    of maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of materials and
    equipment.
  • Uphold safety and security standards in all work performed.
  • Collaborate with custodial staff and contractors to complete larger projects or specialized work.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President and Director of Facilities.
    Qualifications: (Education/Training and Experience Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities work, or a related trade required.
  • Black Seal license preferred, or willingness to get certified required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, mechanical, and HVAC (general
    familiarity; certifications not required).
  • Advanced knowledge in electrical preferred.
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours for school events or emergency repairs required

    Full-Time Maintenance Worker is a 12-Month Position.
    Salary Range is $50,000 – $60,000
    Work Schedule: Monday–Friday (1:00 pm – 10:00 pm)
