The five New Jersey Catholic dioceses—Newark, Trenton, Camden, Metuchen, Paterson and Passaic—serve more than 3.5 million Catholics in nearly 600 parishes in New Jersey. The 500 Catholic elementary and high schools educate more than 120,000 students every year. The 13 Catholic hospitals and numerous health care facilities in these dioceses serve thousands of New Jersey residents.
The New Jersey Provincial Directory mission is to share information throughout the Catholic Community in the State of New Jersey with all six of the Catholic dioceses. Now in its 67th year, the 2009 New Jersey Provincial Directory will be published in January of 2009.
This year, we have decided to include an Art Contest for the cover art of this publication. In the spirit of sharing, we have themed the contest “Sharing my Faith”.
We ask all Catholic High School students, high school aged parishioners and Youth Ministry participants to enter our contest.
- First Prize winner will be published on the cover of our 2009 Provincial Directory and $500.00 gift card.
- Second Prize will be published on a full page of our 2009 Provincial Directory and a $250.00 gift card.
- Third Prize will be published on a full page of our Provincial Directory and a $100.00 gift card will be awarded.
Rules for entry and an entry form are attached. Please encourage your high school students to enter this exciting and worthwhile contest.

- Original Paintings, Drawings and Photography will be accepted.
- Submissions may be mailed or emailed.

- Emailed Files should be set for CMYK color.
- Entry form must be attached to each entry with a paper clip (no staples).
- Closing date for entry is 12/19/08.
- Check or money order $10.00 made payable to “Provincial Directory” and mailed to 15 North 7th Street – Camden, New Jersey 08102-1147.
- Artwork must have an image area of 9″X12″.
- Winners will be notified by 12/31/08.
All artwork becomes the property of the Provincial Directory.
