An Interfaith Commemoration of the Jewish Seder entitled “A Passover Ritual” will be held:
Rev. Joseph Wallace of the diocese’s Office of Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs and Pastor of Christ the King Parish, Haddonfield, along with Rabbi Jerome David and Peter Halpern, a Cantor from Temple Emanuel, Cherry Hill will preside at the Seder. All guests will participate in a traditional celebration of song, prayer, and readings along with the authentic Seder meal.
The event is an opportunity to foster understanding and appreciation for the faith traditions of the Jewish and Catholic people of South Jersey. Pope Benedict XVI has called for continued improvement in Jewish-Christian relations through dialogue and solidarity, stressing the common roots and the rich spiritual heritage that Jews and Christians share. A donation of $35 per adult or $25 per youth is requested.
