With their five-week V Encuentro sessions complete or nearing completion, 23 Hispanic parish ministries of the Diocese of Camden are looking forward to next month, when each parish will bring the faithful together for a day of reflection, sharing and leadership development on the best ministerial practices for Hispanic Catholics.
The excitement and fire for the faith generated from the more than 260 small Christian communities, which saw approximately 2,300 people young and old share fellowship and the Gospel message, will not end with the conclusion of the sessions, but continue into May; into this fall’s diocesan V Encuentro; and 2018’s regional and national V Encuentro, said Andres Arango, the Bishop’s Delegate for Hispanic Ministry in the Diocese of Camden.
“Each parish’s own May Encuentro will include current and emerging leaders, with parishioners and community members in attendance,” he added. “This process is generating new leaders, and new passion for sharing the faith.”
