Fortnight for Freedom 2016: Witnesses to Freedom
Hold firm, stand fast, and insist upon what belongs to you by right as Catholics: Our First, Most Cherished Liberty
The Fortnight for Freedom takes place from June 21 —the vigil of the Feasts of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More—to July 4, and serves to highlight the importance of defending religious freedom.
The closing Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 12 noon. The Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Donald Wuerl with a Homily by Bishop David Zubik. It will be televised nationwide on EWTN and the CatholicTV Network.
Also the relics of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher are coming to cities in the United States during this time.
