Marriage Preparation or pre-Cana programs are designed to provide quality time for you as a couple to listen, reflect and discuss the important aspects of Christian marriage. The programs offer practical advice and assistance to help you build a successful marriage. Various formats are available to fit the engaged couples’ schedules.
All of the programs used address:

understanding your family of origin,

sexuality and intimacy,

sacramentality and spirituality,

moral decision-making,

responsible family planning, stewardship and family goals.
- Engaged Encounter is a weekend retreat where couples experience in-depth, private, personal, marriage preparation. Camden Diocese Engaged Encounter Team Leaders, Jenn and JD Duffy, are eager to answer your questions. Call JD at (856) 419-4015 or Jenn at (856) 419-4017. Engaged Encounter Weekends are held at the Blessed Carlo Acutis Retreat House in Absecon, NJ. All meals and accommodations are included in the fee of $410 per couple. - Evermore in Love Marriage Preparation has two options:

- Personal mentoring online info is at https://evermoreinlove.org/event/marriage-prep-personal-mentor/ Dates are set at the convenience of your fiancé, yourself, and a mentor couple; $250 per couple. Our local mentor couple is Dcn. Bob and Shirley Oliver (609) 625-9271 in Somers Point who will meet with you in person, which is a lower fee.
- Catholic Marriage Prep.com from Agape Catholic Ministries: Personal mentoring online at https://www.catholicmarriageprep.com/ This program is also available in Spanish and French. $194 per couple; $245 per couple, for couples who have less than three weeks to prepare.

Preparation Options:
The Preparing to Live in Love program, allows the engaged couple to meet with a married couple trained to mentor them on the preparation journey. This allows for flexibility often needed by today’s engaged. Engaged couples are able to register for mentoring online at PLLregistration
Beginning to Live in Love is a large group application of the same content, materials, experiential exercises, practical skills, and inspirational witness offered in Preparing to Live in Love. This accelerated 4 session course is currently scheduled in different locations around the diocese. Any engaged couple may register online at BLLregistration
