Coordinator of the Annual Appeal

Location: Diocese of Camden, Pastoral Center, 15 N Seventh St. Camden, NJ

Description: The Coordinator assists the Associate Director of Development for the House of Charity-Bishop’s Annual Appeal in the ministry of strategic planning, coordination and execution of the Diocesan Annual Appeal to raise over $7.5 million annually, in support of the mission of the Diocese of Camden to spread and live the Gospel.

Responsibilities include scheduling and tracking components of the Appeal throughout each calendar year, including liaison work with vendors, advertising, and diocesan departments, with training for parish staff, to orchestrate an effective plan for raising funds that support the diocesan and parish budgetary needs for missionary discipleship. Also included are the transaction and collaboration with Development Office staff for data entry and acknowledgment of special gifts: Matching Gifts, Credit Card, Direct Debit, Online giving, and Transmission gifts. This well rounded individual will assist in the coordination of special events and handle report generation in support of the Annual Appeal. He or she will maintain and modify the standards and procedures manual for the Appeal.

Requirements: Experience with Project coordination, ability to “Stand and Deliver” presentations and conduct training sessions for parish staff are required, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Undergraduate Degree and experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
