Debby Boone performs in concert to support Catholic education Dec. 2

Grammy Award winning singer, actress, author and New Jersey born Debby Boone is coming to South Jersey to kickoff the Christmas season.
On Sat., Dec. 2 she will perform Music & Memories, a Christmas concert that supports the South Jersey Scholarship Fund for Catholic education in South Jersey. Her performance will include a special tribute to her mother-in-law Rosemary Clooney. The concert also coincides with the 40th anniversary release of her hit song, “You Light Up My Life.”
“This diocesan Christmas concert is a a hallmark event for our schools and the South Jersey community,” says Bishop Dennis Sullivan, who attends each year and is known to take the stage and sing for the audience.
The performance will take place at Investors Bank Arts Center in Sewell at 7:30 p.m. Audiences of all ages are welcome. Proceeds from the fund are allocated directly to our South Jersey Catholic Schools for need-based awards.
Debby Boone has enjoyed Top 10 successes on the Pop, Country, Adult Contemporary and Contemporary Christian charts. “You Light Up My Life” is one of the most popular recordings in modern music history and remains in the Top 10 of Billboard’s most successful singles of the past 60 years. It won both the Oscar and Grammy Awards in 1978 for Best Song and the American Music Award for Best Pop Single.
