Ministry With the Deaf Co-Directors

The Office of Ministry with the Deaf has two Co-Directors who will “pay attention” to your needs and try to welcome and include you and your family into every aspect of Catholic Parish Life.   We desire to empower Deaf and hard of hearing persons to become active members of the Catholic Deaf Ministry as well as the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Camden.

kateKate Slosar, is a Deaf woman who comes to us from Detroit,Michigan.  Kate ministered as a pastoral worker in two Deaf Parishes in the Archdiocese of  Detroit.  She has a MA in Pastoral Studies with the Deaf from St. Thomas University  in Miami, FL and is Vice President of the International Catholic Deaf Association-US (ICDA-US) and a Board Member of the National Catholic Office of the Deaf (NCOD).  Kate moved to the Diocese of Camden in 2010.

Sister Bonnie McMenamin, SSJ is a Sister of St. Joseph of Philadelphia, PA.   Sbonnieister began her ministry with the Deaf in 1987 as a teacher at Archbishop Ryan School for the Deaf in Philadelphia, PA.  Sister Bonnie also has a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral   Studies with the Deaf from St. Thomas University in FL. and a certificate in Spiritual Direction.  Sister has ministered with the Deaf in the Diocese of Camden since 2002.
