Bishop Sullivan to celebrate annual Blue Mass Sept. 29 in Blackwood

Bishop Dennis Sullivan will celebrate the 16th Annual Diocesan Blue Mass to pray for and support local law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, as well as their families, on the feast of the Archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, Sept. 29. The Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church (701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood) of Our Lady of Hope Parish.

The liturgy celebrated by Bishop Sullivan, is a time for the law enforcement, firefighter and the first responder community to “receive prayers and support of the public, remember those who were killed in the line of duty, or passed away this past year, and support of their families,” said Deputy Chief David J. Harkins, Staff Commander of the Gloucester Township Police Department.

“We’re very happy to have the support, guidance, and prayers of Bishop Sullivan and the faithful,” Deputy Chief Harkins added.

This Mass is open to the public. Attendees should arrive 30 minutes before Mass begins.
