In his statement following the white supremacist demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia, Bishop Sullivan wrote, “Catholics have a crucial role to play in the fight for racial justice, inspired by our belief that every single person is sacred because each person is created in the image and likeness of God. Let us pray for an end to racism, hatred, and violence and work to promote respect and unity among all Americans.”

In the face of racism in this country, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. What can we do to promote racial justice in our own communities?

This Diocese of Camden Life & Justice Gathering is designed to help Catholics throughout South Jersey reflect on how they can fight racism in their parishes, schools, homes, and hearts. Through a process of reflection, dialogue, prayer, and education, the day will begin to equip you to work for racial justice.
