The 9th Annual Sister Shamus Walk and Sister Shamus Way Dedication

Join with students, faculty, alumni, friends and family as we celebrate the 9th Annual Sister Shamus Walk, Saturday, April 28, 2018. The Walk is Our Lady Star of the Sea Regional School’s primary annual fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit Our Lady Star of the Sea Regional School, the island’s only remaining Catholic school.

Registration begins in the school gym at 7:30am. This year, the Walk introduces some new and fun features for participants. One new announcement: the dedication of Sister Shamus Way. The cross-street of Our Lady Star of the Sea, California Avenue, will now be designated “Sister Shamus Way”. Join us in enjoying a complimentary breakfast, while celebrating this distinction, with a blessing from Father Jon, pastor of the citywide Parish of Saint Monica, and some words from Sixth Ward Councilman, Jesse Kurtz.

The walk will begin around 9:30am. The students will lead the way, as the Walk proceeds onto the beautiful, historic Atlantic City Boardwalk, to Albany Avenue and back (a little over 2 miles).

The cost for Pre-Registration is $20, if purchased by April 26th, or $25 for on-site registration. Participants can register for the Walk online by visiting OLSSAC.ORG and clicking “9th Annual Sister Shamus Walk”.

Sponsorships are available for local businesses and family legacies. Benefits include: your logo or name represented on the annual Walk banner, paraded in the Walk, and hung in the school gym for the following year. Your company name can also appear in the parish bulletin for thousands to see throughout the year. For details, contact: 609-345-1878 ext. 10, or kgiven@accatholic.org.
